Vertex Professional Solutions is a proudly military spouse-owned consulting and training firm, built on 14+ years of real-world experience in compliance, policy, and operational leadership. Founded by Ja’Nay Smith, a decorated compliance expert and federal program leader. Vertex was created to bridge the gap between outdated systems and modern, integrity-first solutions.

As a former File Maintenance Program Manager and federal supervisor, Ja’Nay has led training transformations, secured audit-ready records, and received multiple awards, including a Director’s Coin for Outstanding Leadership from the Director of the Defense Commissary Agency, and a plaque from the Directorate of Emergency Services for exceptional performance as an Administrative Assistant.

Her background in Health Information Management, HR, and contract strategy gives Vertex its unique edge: we know the rules, we teach the rules, and we help you follow them with confidence.
